Peace Security and Development Network - Research Protocol for conducting fieldwork
This protocol provides basic guidance on the focus, set up and execution of the fieldwork associated with the case studies to be done in four different countries under the research on „Multiple Stakeholder Processes, basic services and state institutions‟. These countries include: Nepal, the Palestinian Territories, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Burundi. The focus on the research lies on contexts characterized by conflict or political instability.
It is important to acknowledge that these „indicators‟ bear in itself a negative connotation since they are usually determined by „negative‟ factors in a country‟s context (e.g. corruption, weak administrative systems, conflict, absence of capacities).
