Accountability Framework for Conflict, Violence, Governance and Disaster and the Post-2015 Development Agenda

On 18-19 June 2013, in Glen Cove, New York, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Peacebuilding Support Office (PBSO), and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) collaborated with the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) and the World Bank (WB) to hold an Expert Meeting on creating an accountability framework for conflict, violence, governance and disaster within the context of the Post-2015 Development Agenda. This report presents the key findings of that meeting.

UNICEF is the main UN organization defending, promoting and protecting children's rights.

PBSO assists and supports the Peacebuilding Commission, administers the Peacebuilding Fund, and supports the Secretary General's efforts to coordinate the UN System in its peacebuilding efforts.

UNDP partners with people at all levels of society to help build nations that can withstand crisis, and drive and sustain the kind of growth that improves the quality of life for everyone.
