POSTPONED: Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation in Yemen

Search for Common Ground will host an informal discussion with Yemen Country Director Shoqi Maktary.

Since 2010 and throughout the ongoing conflict, Search-Yemen has implemented a series of innovative and effective conflict transformation projects that encourage dialogue and social cohesion across all segments of the population. These projects focus on child protection, youth resilience to violence, local mediator training, women’s leadership in peacebuilding, and conflict-sensitive humanitarian programming.

Search-Yemen’s Country Director Mr. Maktary, a conflict-sensitivity expert and Yemeni national, will be sharing security, programming, and operational updates directly from the field, and will present Search’s peacebuilding work in-country. The format will be informal to encourage an in-depth discussion and exchange following the short presentation.
