Community-based peacebuilding in turbulent contexts

The Hague Academy for Local Governance and CARE Nederland kindly invite you to an event about ‘Community-based peacebuilding in turbulent contexts’.

The Foundation For Peace (FFP) and Peace Under Construction (PUC) programmes have been running for almost 4 years in order to contribute to more peaceful and prosperous communities in Afghanistan, Yemen, Somalia, South Sudan and Burundi. In these countries the security situation has deteriorated significantly over the last few years, which had and still has an impact on peacebuilding interventions. During this event we will therefore take a step back to see and share which peacebuilding interventions have worked well (or have not worked well) at the community level, while the context became more violent and politically tense.

Come and join us for workshops and a panel discussion with different professionals and experts in the field of community-based peacebuilding held at the Idazaal in The Hague. Subscribing for parallel sessions will be possible upon arrival.
