Conflict Analysis Framework - Field Guidelines

Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict

This document represents a framework and associated practical guidelines for conflict analysis that organizations can adapt, revise and localize to fit their respective conflict contexts and organizational needs.  It provides guidelines for integrating actor and issue analysis, as well as long-term structural and shorter-term analysis of potential triggers of violence in a applied manner useful to practitioners.

It is a Second Draft for Review and further Field Testing. Please feel free to use it and report back on additional recommendations to make it useful for practitioners.

It was developed and adapted through the CDA Collaborative Learning Projects, Global Parternship for the Prevention of Armed Conflicts Global Secretariat (GPPAC) and Norwegian Church Aid.
