The second session of the 9th Children Parliament which will begin with members to different sub-committees inside the parliament in Yemen South.

  1. Members of the Children’s Parliament receive a two-day training (3-4 September) on acquiring advocacy skills, preparing reports and parliamentary protocol in questioning, and hearings with institutions concerned with protecting children’s rights, as well as formulating recommendations to be submitted to the Council of Ministers, official bodies and international organizations working in Yemen.
  2. The opening of the second session of the Children’s Parliament, in the presence of the leadership of Taiz Governorate, official bodies, representatives of international organizations and civil society organizations, then opening the door for nominations to form sub-committees of the Children’s Parliament (5 September), and the formation of the Education Committee, the Human Rights Committee, the Media and Culture Committee, the Health and Environment Committee, and the Follow-up Committee on Recommendations (consisting of Chairman of the Council and chairs of the previous sub-committees).
  3. Holding interrogation sessions with official authorities and international organizations to listen and discuss the situation of childhood in Yemen and their efforts to protect children and to raise difficulties and obstacles in implementing its programs related to child protection. (According to the activity agenda of the second session of the Children's Parliament in the southern governorates).

24 members of the Children’s Parliament, 3 official bodies (a representative from the Ministry of Human Rights, the Office of the Ministry of Interior, and the Head of Central Prisons and Moral Guidance of the Ministry of Defense), and an international organization.
