Biography

Ramzi Merhej is a Project Manager at the Berghof Foundation. He previously worked in Lebanon for Search for Common Ground, ALEF-Act for Human Rights, and the GIZ ZFD-program, and in Germany for Friedenskreis Halle. In 2010, Ramzi co-founded the Dialogue for Life and Reconciliation Organization (DLR-Lebanon) and was later a member of the National Truth and Reconciliation Campaign in Lebanon. He implemented different projects and conducted various training in the Middle East and Europe.

Ramzi holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Peace and Conflict Studies from The Philipps University of Marburg in Germany, with a focus on (de)-radicalization, conflict analysis and transformation, and project management. He acquired his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the Notre Dame University – Louaize in Lebanon, with a focus on renewable energy.
