Biography

Megan Price joined the Clingendael Institute in 2012 as a Research Fellow for the Conflict Research Unit. In 2016 she was promoted to Senior Research Fellow. As of January 2017 Megan is also Head of the Secretariat of the Knowledge Platform for Security and Rule of Law (KPSRL). In this role she aims to strengthen relationships across different communities of practice, and to encourage synergy as well as constructive debate with the goal of improving international security and rule of law policy and implementation.

As a CRU fellow, and previously as a consultant, Megan contributes research on international strategies for supporting security reform in challenging settings. Her current research focuses on security provision as a negotiated political process, and the role of informal and non-conventional actors in statebuilding.

Prior to working with CRU, her professional experience was as an impact analyst for a Dutch non-government organisation working on post-conflict private sector development in the Western Balkans.

Megan Price has field experience in Kosovo, Liberia, Philippines, Guinea Bissau, Haiti, Guatemala, Kenya and Afghanistan.
