Liliana Almeida joined the Knowledge Platform for Security & Rule of Law (KPSRL) as a Communication and Engagement Intern in February 2023. She works closely with the Engagement & Grants Officer to develop a strong online presence and a long-term social media strategy. In addition to her core responsibilities, Liliana is always eager to lend support to her colleagues in various capacities due to her interest in a wide range of topics.
Liliana is currently an international student pursuing a degree in European Studies at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. She specializes in the Public Sector, which focuses on public management, international organizations, contemporary European politics and policy analysis. Languages play a significant role in her studies, and Liliana is passionate about learning new languages. She is fluent in Capeverdean Creole, Portuguese, English, and Spanish, and an independent user of French, Italian, and Dutch. In addition to her current studies, Liliana also holds a Bachelor of Graphic Arts from the M_EIA International School of Art (Mindelo, Cape Verde).
Since 2019, Liliana has been actively involved in student participation bodies such as the General Council of The Hague University of Applied Sciences and the Student Advisory Board for the Code of Conduct International Student in Dutch Higher Education (DUO). Through these participation bodies, Liliana is committed to advocating for the needs of international students.
