Biography
Amanda has over 15 years’ experience in peacebuilding, and an extensive publications record. She currently works as a Senior Project Leader on Violent Extremism at the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation, where she focuses on locally-led PVE strategies and transitional justice. As a consultant, she worked with a range of clients, including various UN entities, the EU, GIZ, Oxfam South Africa and the World Bank. Prior to this, Amanda was a senior researcher at the Institute for Security Studies. She has also worked as a Political Affairs Officer for MONUSCO in the DRC, and as a Rule of Law officer in South Sudan. Amanda holds a Master’s degree from the University of Cape Town.
