Lucy Opoka

Lucy Ataro Opoka is currently an International Justice Associate Intern with Africa Legal Aid in the Hague. She holds an Advanced LLM in International Children's Rights from Leiden University in the Netherlands, and an LLB from Catholic University of East Africa (CUEA) in Nairobi, Kenya. Lucy has volunteered as an Assistant Human Rights Officer for Stahili foundation based in Kenya and The Hague. She has worked as a pupil at John Bwire & Associates Advocates. Her Legal background makes her passionate on Rule of Law issues and her South Sudanese and Kenyan background makes her interested in issues touching on peace and human rights and in particular children's rights in conflict and migration situations.
