Biography
is an international law and development professional with over 15 years of experience implementing inclusive, results-oriented programming for a number of international organizations and IFIs. As IDLO’s regional program manager for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Margarita oversees programming portfolio which spans from Montenegro to Mongolia, and focuses on such key aspects of Rule of Law, as institutional reform, access to justice, economic rights, and anti-corruption. In this capacity, Margarita represents IDLO’s regional portfolio vis-à-vis institutional partners, UN organizations, governments, academia, civil society and the private sector. Throughout her career, Margarita has designed and implemented programs in the framework of rights-based approach on a variety of topics from domestic violence to gender mainstreaming in justice sector institutional reform, with a strong focus on human rights programming, advocacy and community, She is a published commentator and university lecturer on international law and development. Margarita was educated at Moscow State University, University of Maryland, College Park and St. John ’s University.
