Whose Truth, Whose Justice? The Role of Media in Conflict and Justice

Organized by:

On September 5th, seasoned journalists, editors and bloggers from the Institute for War and Peace Reporting in addition to Dutch freelance journalists Kees Schaepman and Heikelien Verrijn Stuart will provide a behind--‐the--‐scenes glimpse of the role of journalists in conflict and justice processes. They thereby contribute to the centenary celebration of the Peace Palace. For peaceful settlement of disputes, independent information and freedom of expression are crucial. During this day, the 2013 WorldPressPhoto2013 will be exhibited in the Peace Palace. In the evening Movies that Matter provides the film screening of the award winning ‘Give up tomorrow’ in the historical gardens of the Peace Palace.

Registration is required. See for more information, details and registration fee (€65, students €27) www.vredespaleis.nl/aanmelden Tickets for the exhibition and film can be purchased on the website of the peace palace or at the Visitors Centre of the Peace Palace.
