After nearly fifteen years of international engagement in Afghanistan since 2001, Afghanistan has made progress in many fields, and still has a long way to go in creating durable peace and a stable economy. The international community, including active contributions from the Dutch government, Dutch civil society, and the European Union, has invested heavily for over a decade in restoring Afghanistan’s security, governance and the rule of law, and economy.

This roundtable will explore the steps required by Afghanistan and its international partners to advance peace and prosperity in the country and the region through this year’s Brussels Conference on Afghanistan and the NATO Warsaw Summit.

Please note that this roundtable is an invitation only event, preceding an open panel discussion taking place at 17:30 at The Hague Institute. You are kindly invited to join the open panel discussion.
