Publication date: 30 Nov 2016 Organization: Cordaid and the Van Vollenhoven Institute

The Van Vollenhoven Institute, Cordaid and local partners in Afghanistan and South Sudan have published their findings from the socio-legal research project exploring people's justice concerns and experiences with a variety of state and non-state justice providers.

This policy brief by Bruno Braak provides a short overview of key messages and recommendations that have come out of the project with a focus on South Sudan.

The research project was part of the "Supporting Primary Justice in Insecure Contexts: South Sudan and Afghanistan" project funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and administered by NWO-WOTRO in collaboration with the Platform.
