Exploring Primary Justice in Insecure Contexts: South Sudan
The Van Vollenhoven Institute, Cordaid and local partners in Afghanistan and South Sudan have published their findings from the socio-legal research project exploring people's justice concerns and experiences with a variety of state and non-state justice providers.
This South Sudan report, written by Bruno Braak, provides country-specific details about the research and 8 case studies, drawing from the research in (then) Western Equatoria State. The Justice and Peace Commission of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio was the local partner in South Sudan.
The research project was part of the "Supporting Primary Justice in Insecure Contexts: South Sudan and Afghanistan" project funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and administered by NWO-WOTRO in collaboration with the Platform.
