Exploring primary justice in insecure contexts: Afghanistan

Publication date: 30 Nov 2016 Organization: Cordaid and the Van Vollenhoven Institute

The Van Vollenhoven Institute, Cordaid and local partners in Afghanistan and South Sudan have published their findings from the socio-legal research project exploring people's justice concerns and experiences with a variety of state and non-state justice providers.

This Afghanistan report provides country-specific details about the research and 8 case studies, drawing from research in Istalif and Behsud. The Liaison Office (TLO) was the local partner in Afghanistan. The case studies are introduced by Friederike Stahlmann.

The research project was part of the "Supporting Primary Justice in Insecure Contexts: South Sudan and Afghanistan" project funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and administered by NWO-WOTRO in collaboration with the Platform.
